I.T Support Apprentice

Hands on training and assistance will be given to all aspects of key responsibilities Escalating IT issues to the IT team/Manager where necessary. Responsible for assisting the IT team regarding backups and resolving any failures company wide Diagnosing and resolving technical issues Undertaking approved small and medium-sized IT projects as instructed Providing desktop and server support Supporting and maintaining MS Server/Desktops and Google Apps Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops Installing authorized software to laptops and desktops Antivirus installation to all desktops with added encryption software to laptops Fault finding to laptops, desktops and servers Completing internal user moves including phones and tablets Patching of network devices and VOIP phones Setting up and configuring new core servers (as per IT team instructions) Google Apps mailbox maintenance including archiving mailboxes Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements Providing support for MAC PC’s Maintaining the company VOIP phone system and Mobile phones Additional responsibilities as requested by IT Support Manager

Training:
The Apprenticeship will last around 15 months plus a three month EPA (End Point Assessment). 20% of your time will be spent working towards your Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship Standard qualification and the other 80% will be spent developing skills and knowledge whilst performing the role The next available cohort to start the apprenticeship is March 2025 but potentially will be brought forward subject to demand. This will give you the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge on the job before starting your course

Training Outcome:
It is expected that once you successfully pass the apprenticeship that you will be offered a permanent contract as a I.T Support if you've proven yourself as the right candidate

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm, breaks tbc.
