Apprentice Site Carpenter

You will be working closely with the onsite team of carpenters to carry out all aspects of the site carpentry trade. 

You will gain on-site experience in the building industry enabling you to gain hands-on experience working on a live site. This apprenticeship will provide you with the basis to build a great lifelong career within the construction industry.

What you'll be doing:

You will be working closely with the onsite team of carpenters to carry out all aspects of the site carpentry trade You will work towards achieving a Carpentry & Joinery Apprenticeship (Site Carpenter) Under supervision, you will create, prepare and fix timber components as part of the building process Preparation of materials Safe working practices, Cleaning of areas and tools Storage and moving of materials Interpreting drawings and specifications Roofing and joisting, first and second fix, fitting doors, door frames and window frames Installing kitchens and cabinetry and fitting staircases Maintain high standards of quality Ensure site rules are followed and work safely at all times

Enthusiastic, individuals who are strong communicators, excellent team players and can show initiative Reliable and hardworking, but, more than this, we want you to be passionate about joining our team and the construction industry You'll need to be able to build great relationships and demonstrate your ability to work in a friendly and professional manner Dedication to college and site work is a must!

Training:
You will work towards achieving a Carpentry & Joinery Apprenticeship (Site Carpenter) attending one day a week, with Milton Keynes College Ongoing training, support and development with the employer Expert mentors / trainers who will guide you through your Apprenticeship Hands-on learning, who will give you real-world feedback 

Training Outcome:
On successful completion of your apprenticeship the apprentice may be offered a full-time position.

Employer Description:
Rushgrove Developments Ltd, based in Leighton Buzzard, specialise in site carpentry services and work with top national house builders, including Barratt, Redrow, Taylor Wimpey, and Bellway.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.
