Physiotherapist Locum Band 6
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physiotherapy needs and develop individualised treatment plans. Implement evidence-based interventions to promote physical recovery, improve mobility, and enhance functional independence. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, social workers, and nursing staff, to ensure holistic patient care. Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and strategies for improving physical health and well-being. Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on clinical outcomes and feedback. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with departmental policies and professional standards. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and service development initiatives to improve the quality of care. Support and mentor junior staff and therapy students as required.Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with HCPC. Significant experience in a clinical physiotherapy setting, preferably within community or integrated care. Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care. Knowledge of relevant policies, best practices, and rehabilitation techniques.
