Family Support Worker (Supervised Contact)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker (Supervised Contact) to join a well established team at Knowsley Councils Children’s Services team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for making a difference in the lives of families and children, offering critical support and supervised contact services in a caring and professional environment.
£18.22 LTD per hour inclusive of holiday pay 36 hours per week (9-5pm) 8 Month Initial Contract with possibility of extension after this Responsibilities: Provide supervised contact sessions for families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Facilitate positive interactions between family members while adhering to safeguarding policies. Support children and families with their specific needs, helping to strengthen family relationships. Record and report on interactions, providing accurate documentation for case reviews. Work collaboratively with social workers, managers, and other team members to ensure effective service delivery. Requirements: Previous experience in social care, family support, or a related field (qualifications not required, but experience is essential). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families effectively. Strong organizational and documentation skills to manage reports and case notes accurately. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and the ability to apply these principles during family sessions.
