Credit Control Manager

Due to growth, we are looking for a strong people person to join this supportive team as an additional Credit Manager.

You will be responsible for the daily operational and regulatory risk within the business.

The role involves building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and having excellent working relationships with 3rd party partners.

The successful candidate will have a proactive nature and be able to engage credibly at all levels.

To be hands-on, professional, resourceful and customer centric.

This role will provide training, and would ideally suit someone from credit control, banking, risk background.
Role Objective:
The Credit Manager is responsible for the daily operational and regulatory risk within the business.

You will need to be able to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and have excellent working relations with 3rd party partners.

Not be afraid to be hands-on, resourceful and customer centric.

This role does not have any direct reports.
Main Responsibilities:

Daily operational management of the incoming and ongoing business requests in relation to relevant risk activities
To assist the Risk Manager with the insured accounts and take the necessary actions required to ensure validation
To manage and carry out and review credit limits
Reviews on insured accounts
To understand the legal entities within the business
Validate any account amendments and update systems accordingly
Process credit increase requests carrying out required due diligence
Ongoing credit reviews to ensure credit limits are set at the appropriate levels
To manage the payment plans within the Credit and Risk department
To ensure all systems/accounts are updated with the required notes
To carry out monthly audits on the trading and non-trading database
To manage and be responsible for the database in-line with the status group policy
To produce reports monthly for review in the relevant areas

Required Skills, Experience, Knowledge, Competencies for the Credit Manager

Experience of working in a busy environment, to targets and within timescales
This role will interact with senior leaders within the organisation
Excellent understanding of credit checking requirements and Company accounts
Excellent knowledge of Excel
Problem-solving and decision-making
Negotiation skills and the ability to influence people
Commercial awareness

The salary is up to £32,000 as well as an attractive benefits package including, generous incentive bonus of up to £5K, 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, parking on site, and hybrid working 3 days at home 2 days in the office.

Hours Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.
