Practitioner - Residential
We are recruiting for a Practitioner you will work with children and young people and their families providing a warm accepting environment where the physical, emotional, health, social, educational, communication, cultural and spiritual needs can be met.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join a supportive and welcoming friendly team.
This role will have a varied shifts pattern.
Russell House provides short breaks for children and young people with additional needs.
Our team work together to maintain a homely atmosphere where young people feel safe.
We ensure that all views are taken into account; racial, religious, cultural, dietary, health, educational, gender and social needs and also, children and young people are consulted about what they would like to do during their stay.
We are an enthusiastic team who is actively involved in supporting children to thrive and achieve their independence and living skills as well as having positive experiences in the home and the community.
The Practitioner is to provide residential respite care for children and young people with learning and/or physical disabilities, providing 1:1 support when required.
You will be required to work variable/ unsociable hours which may include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Occasional travel may be required
You will be required to perform tasks as required commensurate with your grade and experience.
Your role may be subject to an enhanced DBS check
Your role may involve working in a regulated activity
