What we’re Looking For: Education & Experience: A strong background with a 1st or 2.1 degree (or PhD) in a numerate discipline from a reputable UK university. A solid academic record, including A grades at A level. Technical Skills: Proficiency in FPGA development using VHDL. Experience in PCB design and layout. Familiarity with software development in embedded C/C++. Personal Attributes: Self-motivated and able to work independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present complex ideas clearly. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Simulating and implementing signal and image processing algorithms in VHDL for FPGAs. Designing PCBs that integrate FPGAs, SoCs, high-speed network interfaces, and analog/RF signal filtering. Performing schematic capture using OrCAD. Managing PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly with subcontractors. Setting up PCBs, including writing test firmware and software. Developing Linux device drivers for hardware.
