Domestic Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Domestic Assistant to join an established team in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Bloomcare Care Centre. This role is crucial in ensuring our residents live in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. You will be part of a supportive team, working together to provide an exceptional living space for our residents.

35 hours per week on a rota basis This role is paying at £14.40 LTD inclusive of holiday pay Initial 6 month contract with possibility of extension after this

Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning tasks such as emptying bins, vacuuming, and maintaining cleanliness in dining rooms, lounges, and lavatories. Carry out weekly deep cleaning, including dusting handrails, polishing mirrors, and shampooing carpets as required. Restock toiletries and cleaning supplies when necessary. Participate in staff and client meetings to ensure effective communication. Follow health and safety procedures, including reporting any accidents or hazards to management. Uphold the Care Centre's reputation by ensuring confidentiality and promoting a positive environment. Ensure all cleaning equipment is well-maintained and ready for use. Promote safeguarding by recognising potential risks and ensuring residents are supported to exercise their rights safely.

Requirements:

Essential: Strong team player with good communication skills. Ability to pass a satisfactory Police Check and POVA list check (where applicable). Desired: Previous experience working in a care environment, especially with the elderly.
