CNC Machinist (Laser cutting) Apprentice

Key Responsibilities:

Tyneside Lasers produce precision-machined components using state of the art CNC Laser cutting machines.

You would be involved in all aspects of setting and producing finished components for customers on all machines as well as becoming conversant in the use of the software used to produce programs for both types of machines.

The apprentice will:

Work with all relevant documentation to enable the production of components within a CNC environment Follow all local procedures and follow national and internationally recognised procedures Be instructed in elements of inspection and the use of the equipment needed Work in a small team to solve all problems that arise. You will have various experienced mentors who will aid their development Receiving exposure to day-to-day engineering/mathematical problems Be trained in all aspects of the manufacturing process to include setting CNC laser cutting machines, inspection using a range of equipment, documentation, using software to generate CNC and nesting programs

Training:

BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Machining)

 

Training Outcome:

Full time position upon completion of apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday 8am - 7pm. Friday 7.30 - 1pm
