Assistant Accountant Apprentice

Processing purchase invoices, with high attention to detail, which will include different currencies and high volume. Raising sales invoices, reconciling customer deposits, and assisting Tour leaders with credit control. Bank reconciliations. Expense claim processing and credit card reconciliation. Assisting the Financial Controller with month end reporting, tour costs analysis and any other adhoc requirements. Providing support to other areas of the business in an admin capacity if required (e.g., HR, Compliance). Proactively seeking to improve processes and working practices to drive efficiencies across the team and wider business to help drive the finance function forward. 

Training:
The apprentice will gain an AAT level 3 qualification, studying with First Intuition.

Training Outcome:
We expect the finance team to expand further over the next 3 years meaning new and exciting opportunities for the right ambitious person. Joining the business at a time of rapid growth gives the candidate the ability to grow with the business.

South Yorkshire based SME Sport Leisure Travel Limited (part of the Sport Leisure Travel group of companies) is a market leader in the delivery of education and sport-based tours for schools and sport clubs throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East & Latin America. We are a small but fast-growing business looking to expand the finance team in line with the company’s overall expansion.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 9.00am till 5.00pm. Option of hybrid working with the ability to be office based (in the Doncaster area) at least 3 days a week during busy periods.
