Public Health Apprentice

To help administer and manage key programmes of Public Health activity as required. To understand data and sources of information and convey this in a suitable format for a variety of audiences To support health improvement initiatives on a range of areas With the support of the Public Health Team to design, administer and conclude consultation events, surveys and focus groups. To promote services across the Borough, through the development and delivery of marketing campaigns. To identify, develop, implement and evaluate Health Improvement programmes relevant to local and national priorities. To understand and support the financial systems and processes such as raising Purchase Orders and processing invoices for payment To work flexibly throughout Public Health, the Council and Health and Care partners as required. To support service in delivering key performance indicators and activity. To contact clients/partners via telephone to obtain information. On an ad-hoc basis and after an appropriate induction period to Deputise for other staff in the Department.

Training:
The apprentice will be expected to travel to Coventry University for the taught course elements, roughly 1 day per month and travel costs are reimbursed.

Qualified public health practitioner

Working Hours :
Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm Willingness to work occasionally outside of contracted hours in the evenings and weekends subject to notice.
