Apprentice Admin Assistant

Comply with departmental and trust policies, protocols and guidelines and adhere to the Quality Management System To provide a professional reception service to all staff and visitors to the department Ensure information is accurately dealt with on a daily basis referring to the equipment co-ordinator, team leader or management where necessary To be responsible for filing documents within the office To be responsible for using the T-DOC system to locate equipment To organise and check loan instrumentation for surgery To manage the repair of surgical instruments Carry out filing, maintenance of individual staff records as required Use of general office equipment; photocopier, phone, laminator etc Responsible for maintaining the NET 2 door security system issuing access to staff when required Produce documents and spreadsheets at the request of management

Training:

Blended approach to learning with monthly face-to-face classes held at Taunton/Bridgwater campus.



Training Outcome:

Succesful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to permanent employment and further professional development.



Employer Description:
Somerset NHS Foundation Trust runs acute hospital services, community services, mental health and learning disability services and a quarter of Somerset’s GP practices. It runs services from two acute hospitals Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, Yeovil Hospital in Yeovil services in the community and services from the 13 community hospitals in the county, a range of mental health and learning disability services and Symphony Healthcare Services runs a quarter of GP practices in the county. Our trust is the result of two mergers. The first merger in April 2020, between Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, brought together acute services, community service and mental health and learning disability services. The second merger brought together acute services from both acute hospitals in the county and a large proportion of the county’s GP practices.
