Manufacturing Apprentice

As a Manufacturing Apprentice at Cistermiser Ltd, you will be working with/across numerous areas throughout the company. Working alongside our experienced team, you will have the opportunity to work with Research and Development, Production Engineering, Quality and our assembly lines. 

Some of your duties will include: 

Working with CAD SAGE our computer system Production Engineering (making Jigs & Fixtures for assembly lines) Working on assembly line

Training:

We want our apprentices to learn as much as possible throughout the business and from completing the Manufacturing Engineer Degree apprenticeship.

The successful candidates will be completing the Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer (Degree) Apprenticeship Standard. The apprenticeship involves attending Newbury College/University Centre Newbury one day a week during Term Time for four academic years. The Apprentices will be supported throughout their apprenticeship by a Development Coach from Newbury College who will hold regular reviews and occasional visits to the workplace. 

Please note, if the successful candidate does not have a GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent in either or both English and Maths, you will be required to take Level 2 Functional Skills alongside your apprenticeship. Your lessons will be delivered in person at Newbury College. You must achieve Level 2 in the required subject/s before you are able to complete your apprenticeship and you have the whole duration to achieve these if required. 

At the end of your apprenticeship you will have completed the Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer (Degree) Apprenticeship Standard and will be required to complete an End Point Assessment (EPA). Your Development Coach will support you with preparing for your EPA.



Training Outcome:

There's a full time position available with Cistermiser Ltd on successful completion of the Manufacturing Engineer Degree apprenticeship.

Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 16.30 Friday 7.30 to 12.30
