Accounts Assistant Apprentice - AAT level 2 or 3

The role is within our music department and is very versatile and dynamic. It gives exposure to a variety of bookkeeping, accounting and business management aspects because the role does not work with historical information but live day-to-day financial data. The music department carries out the function of an outsourced artiste’s financial department and work of that department is vital for our clients’ financial success. The successful candidate will be required to study the AAT accounting qualification.

The main responsibilities will include;

Maintain accurate bookkeeping of the portfolio of the artistes. Processing tour cash accounts and posting them on Xero. Assisting with the preparation of the tour accounts. Preparing royalty and merchandising sales analysis.

Bookkeeping responsibilities:

Processing purchase invoices on Xero. Processing payments to suppliers including verifying bank details. Chasing suppliers for missing invoices.

Accounts/Finance Assistant Apprenticeship Level 2 - AAT This apprenticeship is a perfect match for someone without any accountancy or bookkeeping knowledge. On this programme they will learn the building blocks of the modern accountant. Not only will they grasp the fundamentals of bookkeeping but we will help them develop those vital skills and behaviours to enable them to put their knowledge into action. If you’re new to accountancy and finance, looking to change your career into accountancy or have previously worked in an accounts department this level is ideal for you.

You don’t need any prior experience working in accounts to study AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting. There are no entry requirements, but you do need good maths, IT and English skills, and a willingness to learn. You’ll learn a broad range of core accounting skills, including double-entry bookkeeping and basic costing as well as accountancy related business skills and personal skills.
