Insurance and Claims Support Apprentice

By joining our Insurance and Claims team you’ll play a key operational support role within our Insurance department. 

You’ll be delivering a top notch support service to Yorkshire Housing customers,  providing am effective and efficient claims handling service. It will be a varied role where you’ll get to work with internal and external customers, and the claims could vary from property damage to housing disrepair.

You’ll work and learn from your peers, who will train you in key areas of  Insurance and Claims,  and they’ll be on hand to guide your personal and technical development throughout.

You'll be:

Gathering evidence and initiating investigation to defend claims Supporting colleagues within the team in the handling of claims from first notification to settlement Assisting the team in the procurement and annual renewal of Yorkshire Housing’s insurance Responding to enquiries from customers looking to make a claim and advise them of the process Keeping claims systems up to date to ensure accurate reporting to key stakeholders within YH

Using your new skills you’ll gather evidence to help you investigate claims, advising customers of the process and keeping our claims system up to date.

Reporting is important in a role like this so you’ll get lots of opportunities to put your reporting skills to use, sharing accurate and timely updates on work done.
