Apprentice Property Maintenance Operative

The Pilgrim School is a school that provides education to young people in Lincolnshire who are unable to attend mainstream school for a medical reason.  The apprentice will work alongside our Facilities Manager to support with the maintenance and compliance across the 3 small sites.  The school offers training and a supportive environment to all its staff.

Completing weekly compliance checks e.g. checking fire systems Minor maintenance tasks e.g. setting heating controls Working with external contractors e.g. alarm engineers  Supporting with extra-curricular activities e.d. Duke of Edinburgh Additional projects undertaken during school holidays To provide transport options for the school e.g. drive school minibus on trips

Training:

Training will be undertaken within the paid working week, with a day a week spent with the training provider, at workshops.

Employer Description:
The Pilgrim School is a Community Special School (Hospital School). We act on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council to fulfil their duties under Section 19 of the 1996 Education Act. This means that we are a special school. We also provide education to pupils who are not able to access their mainstream school due to illness, physical or mental, short or long term.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:30 (can be flexible) 52 weeks per year
