Supply Chain Operative Warehouse Apprenticeship

Warehouse Operatives work in a variety of warehouse environments. Work activities include taking deliveries, checking for damaged/missing items, storing goods, moving stock by various methods, picking/packing orders, loading goods for dispatch, maintaining stock records and documentation, and cleaning. They are required to safely use a range of equipment, machinery and vehicles, as relevant to their role and setting. This could include mechanical racking systems, materials handling equipment (MHE) or fork lift trucks. Warehouse Operatives communicate with a wide range of people and customers.

Responsibilities:

Managing stock in and out Picking and packing customer orders Store transfers and stock control Ensuring that the warehouse is safe and well-stocked The role involves various tasks essential to maintaining efficient supply chain operations. The candidate will gain hands-on experience in inventory management, order processing, and logistics within a pharmaceutical setting Loading and unloading stock deliveries Fulfilling orders for businesses/customers in the UK and globally Picking, packing and dispatching Perform general warehouse duties Re-labelling and re-working products Processing returns.

 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 2 Standard in Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 in Functional Skills Maths & English (if applicable) Level 2 Certificate in Warehouse & Storage On and off the job training and location to be confirmed

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship there may be the opportunity for further education or a permanent role within the business if you prove to be the right candidate.
