Childcare Apprenticeship - Birmingham

We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about childcare and the development of each individual child to reach their full potential. 

Responsibilities include:

To ensure children are kept safe and that Safeguarding Procedures are followed. Operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children To work in partnership with parents/carers to pass on information that will be beneficial to the individual child To plan for EYFS and keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys To be involved in out of working hour’s activities, e.g. courses, staff meetings, parents evening etc. To comply with all the policies and procedures that are set out by the nursery

If you already have significant childcare experience / already hold the L2 Early Years Practitioner qualification there is scope to be enrolled onto the L3 Early Years Educator Qualification.

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 18 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Early Years Practitioner – Level 2



Training Outcome:

Possibility of a full time role after the completion of the apprenticeship

Activities are planned by the staff to enable children to develop necessary skills in the EYFS curriculum. Small World Day Nursery provides quality care and education for children.

Working Hours :
Monday-Friday. Shifts tbc.
