Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship at Oakhill Church School, Radstock

The role will be to support children age 2-7 within our school and will include the following:

• Being responsible for supervising the activities of pupils during the school teaching periods and the midday sessional break within the school, including both indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring a safe environment is maintained at all times

• Assisting the Headteacher and teachers in the development and implementation of a programme of work and in the provision of a stable, caring, and supportive learning environment, which enables pupils to achieve their full learning potential and facilitates their personal, social, and moral development.

• Typically, there will be some requirement to work with pupils, either individually or in groups, who have some special educational needs such as, learning difficulties, high learning abilities or behavioural challenges.

Training Outcome:

This is a fix term contract, during which additional training opportunities will be available. At the end of the role, opportunities may be available across the Trust.

Oakhill Church school is a small rural primary school, just outside Shepton Mallet. We are part of the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust.

Working Hours :
8.30-4.00, with 30 minutes for lunch. The apprentice will be paid to attend college one day a week. Days TBC.
