Position: Scrub nurse / ODP - Ophthalmic
Location: North London
Pay: Up to £42,000 – plus paid enhancements & benefits
Hours: Full time and Part time is available – Flexible working pattern.
Contract: Permanent

MediTalent is seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrub Nurse to join our client’s team at a modern private hospital in North London, specialising in ophthalmic surgery care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Surgical Procedures: Provide direct support to the surgical team during ophthalmic surgeries, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterile. Patient Care: Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, anaesthetists, and other nursing staff. Continuous Learning: Engage in learning opportunities to expand your skill set and stay updated on new techniques and practices in ophthalmic care. Maintain Standards: Uphold the highest standards of patient care and hygiene in the operating theatre.

Candidate Requirements:

Professional Credentials: Valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) PIN. Educational Qualifications: Degree or qualification in Ophthalmology or Perioperative Care. Relevant Experience: Prior experience as a theatre nurse; all disciplines are welcome to apply, including Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs). Experience in ophthalmic surgery or scrub nursing is highly beneficial. Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within a diverse team. Personal Attributes: Enthusiastic and eager to learn. Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks. Strong problem-solving skills.
