Compliance Officer

Our client, a leading law firm in the heart of Newcastle, is looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join their growing compliance team. The role would suit a Compliance Officer or Compliance Assistant, with upwards of 2 years’ compliance experience gained either in a legal or professional services environment.

Working alongside the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will be responsible for:

Providing compliance support to a range of different teams within a full service law firm. Following anti-money laundering procedures and dealing with ID checks Dealing with the client onboarding process. Reporting on risk and compliance issues. Dealing with new instructions and file opening. Obtaining required ID documentation from new clients. Using a case management system; and other general compliance support responsibilities.

Requirements:

Upwards of 1 years’ experience as a compliance officer gained within a regulated legal or professional services environment.
