Business Admin Apprentice
Deal effectively with visitors and parents both on telephone and face to face
Issue visitor lanyards and ensure all persons signed in/out, in accordance with safeguarding protocols
Take receipt of and accurately record deliveries, ensuring deliveries and returns are stored safely and securely and are signed for by the relevant recipient
Deal with enquiries, by email, telephone and in person, and to ensure accurate information is passed to the relevant parties in a speedy manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times
Maintain a neat and tidy reception area, ensuring school publications and other relevant information readily available for visitors
Be responsible for incoming and out-going post
Update pupil and staff registers and provide daily/weekly attendance statistics, to include follow up with parents regarding absence in line with school policy and procedure
Be responsible for the distribution and collation of pupil information sheets, including inputting into system and ensuring this is kept up to date
Check all pupil attendance including AEP and input data onto system
Contact parents regarding absence in the event a HLTA is unable to make calls
Assist with organising meeting rooms (booking space, arranging furniture etc.)
Responsible for the generation and maintenance of school meal register and all aspects of school meals, including handling dinner money
Update and distribute pick up and drop off list at home time
Maintain/update manual/computerised record/management information systems and completion of routine returns/production of basic statistical data
Responsible for maintaining levels of school stationery - ordering supplies and equipment/maintaining stock
Undertaking routine correspondence
Raise orders/processing invoices
Provision of occasional expenditure records
Undertake routine financial administration
To work within school policies and procedures
To contribute to the provision of an effective environment for learning
To support the promotion of positive relationships with parents and outside agencies
Training:
You will study a Level 3 in Business Administration, and all training will occur in the workplace
You will meet with your tutor virtually every 4 to 6 weeks, and you will be expected to record off-the-job training weekly
Training Outcome:
The administration role may be a gateway to further career opportunities depending on the position of the school at that time; such as a permanent role or more senior position.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm. (This role is not term time only)
