Business Intelligence Analyst
An opportunity has arisen for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join a renowned company known for its pioneering research and development in sustainable materials. This permanent role offers salary range of £35,000 to £40,000. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be providing in-depth patent landscape analysis and combining these insights with broader business intelligence to guide the organisations research and innovative efforts. You will be responsible for: ? Developing and executing patent search strategies, presenting your findings through visualisation tools to inform research teams. ? Conducting detailed patent searches and analysis to map competitor activity and identify trends in areas of strategic interest. ? Gathering and interpreting business intelligence from non-patent sources to deliver comprehensive reports. ? Managing relationships with external patent search providers and maintaining licences for patent search software. ? Collaborating with internal research teams to align patent analysis with ongoing technological developments. What we are looking for: ? Previously worked in a similar role such as Business Intelligence Analyst, Business Analyst, research analyst, data analyst. ? Proven experience in conducting patent searches, with the ability to distil large datasets into actionable insights. ? A PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, or equivalent experience in a relevant research position. ? A strong interest in patents and delivering business intelligence to influence research strategies. ? Ability to quickly understand new technologies and areas outside your prior experience. ?
