Vehicle Conversion Apprentice

Supporting the build and conversion of emergency vehicles Working with electrics, lighting, interior fittings and lightweight materials Assisting with installations and testing Learning to follow technical drawings and compliance standards Engaging in continuous improvement and quality assurance processes

Training:
Training delivered in partnership with Kirklees College Day release on the Engineering Fitter apprenticeship standard Internal training provided across electrical, fabrication, design and testing disciplines Mentor support and performance reviews throughout the apprenticeship

Training Outcome:

Apprentices can progress into full-time roles in electrical fitting, CAD design, testing, or compliance within AEV. With experience, opportunities exist in senior technician roles, team leadership or specialised areas such as technical compliance or vehicle design engineering.

AEV is a UK-based specialist in the design and manufacture of emergency vehicles including ambulances, PTS units and rapid response vehicles. Operating from a state-of-the-art 30,500 sq ft facility in West Yorkshire, AEV builds each vehicle to strict engineering and compliance standards. The company works closely with OEM partners and emergency services across the UK, delivering innovation, lightweight design and long-term vehicle support.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday.
