Learning fabrication and welding methods including MIG and TIG Indoor and outdoor activity Opportunity to visit substations around the UK

Training:

Training will be delivered by Myerscough College where you will work towards the Level 2 Landbased Service Engineer Apprenticeship qualification.

Delivery is work-based with college attendance for 5 x two-week blocks over the two years (20 weeks’ attendance in total, there may be an additional 1-or-2-week block in the final year to finish off if required).



Training Outcome:

A permanent position is available with career development opportunities.

John Robson Metals Ltd has been at the forefront of safe dismantling and demolition in the Electrical Supply Industry for almost 50 years. We specialise in High Voltage Substation dismantling and demolition and all associated works including, but not exclusive to; transformer disposal, transformer oil disposal, high voltage equipment disposal, cable de-oiling, cable services, PCB and SF6 gas recovery. We operate two sites in Preston, one operating as a fully permitted waste site and main offices and the other covering our maintenance, stores, and fabrication departments. Our site works are carried out across the UK mainland.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, 2x 15-minute breaks, 30-minute lunch break. There may be some flexibility in hours for the right candidate.
