Learning all aspects of welding equipment and machinery Mig welding Cutting And bending Shadowing engineers Develop new skills

Training:

The apprentice will gain the following General Welder Level 2 qualification;

AWS D1.1 Structural Welding - Steel: Certification: American Welding Society, OR

AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code - Aluminium: Certification: American Welding Society, OR

ASME Section IX, OR

ISO 9606 Qualification testing of welder, OR

ISO 14732 Welding personnel - Approval of welding operator, OR

BS4872 Specification for approval testing of welders when welding procedure approval is not required

Functional Skills Level 1 & 2 in English and maths will be provided for those without GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) if required.  

Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date. 

Training Outcome:

Our goal is to have a well-rounded individual who’s confident working in a modern, fast-paced working environment, with potential for employment within the industry, or seek further education as a qualified Welder.

Spenborough Engineering Ltd is a wholly independent company specializing in Commercial Vehicle Bodybuilding, Tippers, Tipper Bodies, Drop Side Tippers and more, whose origins date back to 1913.

Working Hours :
Monday – Friday / 8.00AM – 4.30PM.
