Dental Nursing Apprenticeship

The role of a dental nurse is to assist the dentist / hygienist with all clinical aspects within the surgery including:

Greet and care for all patients in a polite and courteous manner at all times. Work closely with the dentist/hygienist in a professional and appropriate manner. Provide chair side assistance during all treatments. Update computer records. Cleaning surgeries to a high level, maintaining strict cross infection controls. Preparing instruments and materials during treatments. Carry out reception and administrative tasks where required.

 

 



Training:
Level 3 Dental Nurse (Integrated) Apprenticeship Standard Day release at Middlesbrough College On and off-the-job training 

Training Outcome:

Depending on the circumstances of the business upon completion of the apprenticeship programme there could be a potential position of employment available.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, working between the hours of 8:30am - 6:00pm. Shift pattern to be confirmed.
