Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship

Your study will cover three main areas, Knowledge and Understanding (Know it), Skills (Show it) and Behaviours (live it). You will work on the following area;

Kitchen operations (all elements of food preparation and cooking cover areas such as, Meat, Poultry, Vegetables, Fish, Hot and Cold Desserts.

Nutrition
Legal Requirements
Business and Commercial aspects
Personal Development and Performance

You will also support practitioners in the rooms to work with children's allergies, intolerances and nutritional reuirements.

Training:
The apprenticeship will be over an 12 month period during that time our training provider will come out and assess your work within the setting. You will have a mentor during your time in the setting to support your learning.  You will be allocated 6 hours paid learning within the 30 hours to complete your written work and any maths or English Functional Skills. On completion you will attain a level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship standard and have the opportunity to take further qualifications You will also undertake a qualification in Paediatric First Aid. Blended on/off the job training and location to be confirmed.

Training Outcome:
If you're the right candidate for an ongoing role, your next step could be Commis Chef Apprenticeship or Chef de Partie Apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5.30pm. This will be confirmed upon appointment.
