Dental Nurse Apprentice

The role of a Dental Nurse is to assist the clinician with all clinical aspects within the surgery.

This includes but is not exhausted to:

Greeting and caring for all patients Work closely with the clinician in a profesional and appropriate manner  Provide chair side assistance during all dental procedures Update computer records and taking notes Cleaning surgeries to a high level, maintaining a high standard of cross infection control Preparing instruments and materials during treatments Reception/admin duties

Training:

The Level 3 Dental Nurse apprenticeship offers employment within a Dental Practice with an accompanying assessment and skills development programme. It will develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours of the learner to operate competently in all aspects of clinical responsibilities.

It will also provide you with the relevant qualification to apply for professional registration as a Dental Nurse to the General Dental Council (GDC)

You will have a full induction at the practice with an experienced, qualified dental nurse as a mentor You will complete on and off the job training whilst fully supported throughout, progressing to gateway and end point You will receive full guidance, supervision and training at the practice along with your college course at Bucks College Group You will be signed up to the practice Continuing Professional Development provider

Haddenham Dental is a 4-surgery NHS & Private Dental practice with a highly skilled team providing cosmetic procedures, implants and oral surgery alongside our NHS services.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday Usual shift 8.15am - 5.30pm (extra hours also available) 1 hour lunch break 28 days holiday allowance (including Bank Holidays) 38-45 hours per week
