Apprentice Teaching Assistant at Eythorne Elvington Community Primary School

We are looking to appoint an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to join our strong support staff team.  As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher in supporting them to ensure all pupils get the best learning experience possible.  Your role will be to work with small groups of pupils to explain key teaching points and guide them in achieving the outcome of the lesson.  Other aspects of the role will include:

Working 1:1 with identified pupils Preparation of resources for lessons Supporting children with social skills Daily listening to children reading Supporting pupils when outside during break and lunch Emotional and wellbeing support to pupils when needed

Training:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard qualification English and maths Functional Skills at level 2 if required Preparation for End Point Assessment Work based and tutor supported online training https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/teaching-assistant-v1-1 

Training Outcome:
Opportunities to become a Full Time Teaching Assistant and further than that could be potential support from the school to undertake Teaching degree.

Employer Description:
Small primary school on the outskirts of Dover in Kent.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:10pm, term time only, 38 weeks per year.
