Machine Maintenance Engineering Apprentice

Working alongside the glass cutting team you will develop an understanding and knowledge of glass variations in terms of coatings, patterns and applications.

Working to a high degree of accuracy and quality, you will learn how to handle glass safely and cut glass of various types, shapes and thicknesses, using automated CNC Optimisation Equipment, as well as manual techniques.

This includes the creation of technical drawings, using the ICam system. Training will also eventually extend to the use of mechanical handling equipment such as the Overhead Crane, Vacuum Lifting Equipment and Fork Lift Truck.

Undertake planned, preventative and reactive maintenance of machines and equipment Ensure your work is completed safely, meets quality standards, time and budget requirements, whilst maintaining the efficient running of the factory and equipment

Training:

Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard Level 3:

7 hour training day a week within Hull Training will take place at Hull Training's Enigneering Centre on a day release basis. Address: Hull TEC, Danepark Road, Hull, HU6 9DX 

Training Outcome:
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity of full time employment upon completion of the apprenticeship if available There may also be opportunity for progression on to a higher level qualification
