Early Years Apprentice

Main activities include:

Providing a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times Supporting or leading educational games & activities Conducting activities such as crafts, music, cooking etc. Preparing the learning environment with resources and displays Feeding and changing all age children including babies Observing and assessing children to help their learning and development To help ensure the preschool nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times To understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies To be a key person To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectives

Training:

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification Paediatric First Aid qualification Highly trained professionals who play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe City of Bristol College Off-site training

Training Outcome:

Full-time employment and further training to help progress candidate through their early years career.

Within the setting, we have three distinct rooms catering to different age groups: Babies (under 2s), Toddlers (2/3 year olds), and Pre School (3/4 year olds). Our outdoor play area, exclusively for the children, includes a covered space, ensuring year-round usability.

Working Hours :
Shifts within the hours of 7:45am - 6.00pm, Monday- Thursday and 7:45am - 5.00pm on Friday.
