Apprentice Care Assistant

Assisting service users with all aspects of their personal care needs, including but not exclusively, physical, emotional and spiritual, whilst maintaining the comfort, privacy and dignity of the service user at all times.
Assist in the promotion of continence with dignity.
To assist the service user in using their personal and mobility aids whilst ensuring the aids are well maintained.
Assist with social activities by interacting with the service users and helping them to continue with hobbies and activities.

Training:

Adult Care Worker L2 Standard. Maths and English Functional Skills if required. Delivery at Shipley College by day release.

Training Outcome:

This apprenticeship provides an ideal entry into the occupation and supports progression within the sector.

Brookfield Care Home and Staveley Birk Leas Nursing Home are all in Nab Wood near Shipley and Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton.We also have a stunning mix of luxury purpose-built retirement houses and apartments for people aged 55 and over at Currergate Mews in Steeton and Fairmount.

Working Hours :
Apprentices will be working day shifts on a two week rota with alternate weekends. Please discuss working week at interview (TBC).
