Commis Chef Apprentice

Main responsibilities at The Compasses:

Supporting the senior chefs in cooking and plating dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations. Assisting with receiving and storing ingredients, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring proper storage and rotation. Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow. Demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field.

Training:
Commis Chef Level 2 apprenticeship standard Training with Milton Keynes College Ongoing training, support and development with the employer

Training Outcome:
A permanent position may be on offer upon successful completion of the apprenticeship which can lead to other chef roles within the company

The Compasses is a beautiful country pub located in the small picturesque village of Greenfield with a newly refurbished bar and restaurant and a fantastic garden. We will be operating as a gastro style pub-restaurant offering a great selection of locally sourced food and drink. Our ethos is simple, we want all of our guests to feel welcome and enjoy our beautiful pub in a in relaxed atmosphere.

Working Hours :
Mon – Sun (12:00 – 22:00)
