Transport Administrator Apprentice

·Efficiently file and store all necessary paperwork, ensuring data is kept secure and accessible.

·Process sample orders and manage staff allowance allocations with precision.

·Generate purchase orders for garage and transport needs, maintaining clear records.

·Enter data within Key Performance Indicator (KPI) spreadsheets to support performance tracking.

·Coordinate with agencies to arrange temporary workers for holiday and sick cover, aiding the planning team.

·Create and upkeep essential forms and documents required for transport and logistics operations.

·Assist planners by booking orders over the phone, demonstrating excellent communication skills.

·Manage truck load schedules, making amendments as necessary to optimize delivery processes.

·Handle TSS Declarations for Ireland, ensuring compliance with transport regulations.

·Provide admin support to the team during annual leave and absences to ensuring transport planning remains effective.



Training:

You'll be working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard. An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.



Training Outcome:

The right candidate could progress into a variety of roles following successful completion of the apprenticeship. A few examples are below.

Transport Coordinator: In this role, you would be responsible for managing logistics operations, coordinating transportation schedules, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods.


Logistics Supervisor: This role involves overseeing a team, managing day-to-day logistics operations, and ensuring that transport and delivery processes run smoothly.

Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm or 9.00am - 5.00pm 37.5 hours a week
