Apprentice Early Years Educator

Various duties to ensure a continuous high standard of care to meet current Ofsted regulations To contribute ideas towards learning and development of the children Assist with observing, documenting and evaluation of activities Use the EYFS learning objectives and characteristics of learning to monitor children’s progress To use own initiative to enhance children’s learning, support new starters, challenge existing knowledge and plan for learning enhancements linked to EYFS To contribute own ideas for enhancing role play areas, the secret garden and indoor provision Be a positive role model and show respect for all children and their families regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or stage of development Other duties including: preparing snacks, drinks, assisting children at lunchtime, changing nappies, settling children to sleep, assisting with toileting/potty training, supporting challenging behaviour.

Training:
Paediatric First Aid qualification Early Years Educator level 3 apprenticeship standard qualification On the job training to be provided by the employer You will be required to attend Bishop Auckland College on a Thursday throughout the academic year

Clever Clogs is a family-owned children’s day nursery group, operating two Ofsted rated OUTSTANDING early years settings in the cathedral city of Durham. Our nurseries in Belmont and Bowburn offer care from 0-11, including out-of-school care and holiday clubs.

Working Hours :
The working hours of the organisation are Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 6.00pm. The week will be planned across these hours and will be discussed at interview.
