Apprentice Greenkeeper

The job will consist in:

Daily set up of the golf course Raking bunkers Use of power tools such as blowers and strimmers Divoting tees and fairways Trim sprinklers Maintenance of paths (weeding and edging)

After receiving the appropriate training, the apprentice will be able to use ride-on mowers, pedestrian mowers, buggies, top dressers and aerators.

When required by the Course Manager, the Apprentice Greenkeeper can help the gardeners in their tasks such as:

Cutting lawn Edging Blowing/strimming

Training:
Level 2 Golf Greenkeeper Qualification Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths if required One day a week for theory and practical at Berkshire College of Agriculture (BCA)

Training Outcome:
Possibility of further employment Be able to carry on further studying after the NVQ Level 2 Tournament experience depending on the individual Be able to work on other sports facilities like football, rugby or cricket pitches

Turfgrass Agronomy and Services, company founded by Sylvain Duval and Alejandro Reyes. TAS offers their clients 40 years of experience and a comprehensive range of sports turf agronomy services, especially golf courses. Turfgrass Agronomy & Services overview and maintain the golf course in Potters Bar. The apprentice will join a team of 5 dedicates staffs to maintain a very high-quality golf course.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm, shifts, may work weekends. (40 hours per week: April and October. 45 hours per week: May until September. 35 hours per week: November until March. Weekend work 3-4 hours overtime 1 in 3.
