Production chef apprenticeship Level 3-Rockpool Café

Main Responsibilities:

To undertake food preparation and cooking of items as directed by the Head Chef 

Main Duties:

To carry out food preparations according to the standards set out by the Head Chef. To follow instructions, observing the rules set by the cafe by law regarding hygiene, stock rotation, dating and storage, temperature control of refrigerators, pest control, reporting of faulty equipment, reporting of notifiable diseases and notification to the hotel if he/she cannot attend work for whatever reason To attend training courses, learning events for his/her further training and development To undertake some cleaning duties of kitchen equipment, facilities and other items as directed To comply with all company policies and procedures To comply with statutory requirements regarding the workplace such as employment law, health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention etc. To carry out any other reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the kitchen

Training:

You will be supported by an Industry expert assessor throughout your apprenticeship. As you progress through your apprenticeship your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career.

Training will be a mix of face to face and online learning.

You will gain a Production chef qualification with a view to continuing onto further levels of apprenticeships and training.

Functional Skills in maths and English if required.



Training Outcome:

Level 3 production chef apprentice wanted to work in a friendly, independently owned relaxed and informal café offering fresh home cooked food. Excellent opportunity to train as a chef in a friendly supportive environment and develop knowledge, skills and behaviours over the course of apprenticeship.
