Assistant Accountant L3 Apprenticeship

The role will encompass the following key elements, but is not limited to these:

Raising customer invoices Completing daily bank reconciliations Producing customer statements Preparing self-billed sales rebates to vehicle manufacturers Answering customer queries Liaising with internal and external customers/stakeholders 

Whilst our Key2 management system is a bespoke system, which we will give “on-job tuition” on.  Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel is required for this role.

Whilst the successful candidate will in time have the potential opportunity to work and learn on further areas within the finance office as your skills grow.  



Training:

As part of this role, you will undertake the Assistant Accountant level 3 apprenticeship. You will have the opportunity to learn in your role and will be provided with approximately one day per week to study. Your training will be completed online with a dedicated tutor who will support you in your studies. Your delivery schedule will also include some face to face training sessions with your Tutor.  You will be given one day a week to work on your apprenticeship training. 

The training you will be completing as part of the Assistant Accountant Level 3 Business apprenticeship standard includes: 

Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required) End-Point Assessment (EPA) Continued Professional Development training, organisational structure Business Awareness Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements Management Accounting Techniques Tax Processes for Business Assist with monthly and year-end reporting of financial and accounts information Maintain financial and accounting records including the timely collation of data from a range of sources Safeguard against suspicious activities for example anti-money laundering. Assist with the compilation of accounting and financial records, for example, to inform direct and indirect tax returns Deliver financial and accounting information and data to stakeholders to ensure that key messages are communicated. Assist in the maintenance and use of digital systems by using software applications and packages to support the delivery of accurate and timely financial and accounting information. Use digital systems safely to ensure that the cyber security of the organisation is not compromised, and data handling legislative requirements are met. Undertake Continuous Professional Development by keeping up to date with relevant statutory obligations and procedural best practice. Presenting Like a Pro - workshop on how to deliver high quality presentations
