IT Support Technician Apprentice

To allow the effective use of ICT by teaching staff, admin staff, leadership and students and to improve both their understanding of ICT and their experience of its use To provide remote and face to face technical support in line with the academy’s ICT support service definition To support pupils and staff in the appropriate use of ICT, through advice or training

Training:

The apprentice will undertake the Azure Cloud Support Specialist course, which follows and qualifies the candidate under the industry recognised Information Communications Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths will be provided for those without GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) if required.  Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.

Tools and technologies learned: Learners will learn to use Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows 10, AWS, Linux, PowerShell.



Training Outcome:

Full-time employment opportunities upon completion of the apprenticeship. Opportunities to learn new skills and get involved with other areas of the business.
