Software Development Apprenticeship

To support the Development team in improving and maintaining the trusts IT systems Developing, deploying and testing websites, web applications and automation tools Work with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP and Power Apps Primarily use Monday.com and GitHub, along with various Microsoft products Identifying and resolving relevant issues such as functional errors, syntax errors, logical errors, calculation errors, unit-level bugs, and system-level bugs Learn new data skills and techniques through on-the-job training and online courses

Training:

Software Development Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

As a Software Developer Apprentice, you will work alongside a wider development team in a support role; you will work under the supervision of more experienced developers to learn and acquire the necessary skills to become a competent software developer Your main responsibilities will consist of designing and implementing secure code, executing test plans, and developing software documentation for stakeholders and end-users You will assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications, websites, and other software products You will learn to code, test, debug, and troubleshoot software applications and assist with the deployment of software to production environments

Training Outcome:
This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective Software Developer
