IT Support Apprentice

As an IT Support Apprentice, you'll play a key role in keeping our IT systems running smoothly. With our support, you’ll get involved in:
Assisting with the general administration of Salesforce Logging tickets and helping to resolve technical issues via our helpdesk Delivering high-quality technical support via phone, email, and remote screen sharing Troubleshooting, managing change requests, and performing system builds Conducting routine maintenance and system monitoring Supporting a wide range of technologies, including WIFI, Networking, Office 365, Android, VOIP, and Microsoft Windows

As part of the apprenticeship, you will receive comprehensive training through our training provider, eTraining, which is also part of the Twin Group. eTraining will guide you through your learning journey, ensuring you gain valuable IT skills and knowledge that will support your development in this role and beyond.

You will learn on the job and be fully supported by our skills coaches and It team to ensure you have all the tools needed to succeed in a career in IT. 



Training Outcome:

After completing the IT Support Apprenticeship at Twin Group, there are several progression routes the apprentice could take, depending on their interests and strengths. Some potential next steps include:

1. Level 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship
Overview: This pathway focuses on developing skills in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting. The apprentice would learn more about managing complex networks and supporting organisations' IT infrastructures.


Skills Gained: Advanced networking, security, firewall management, network automation, and cloud technology.


2. Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship
Overview: For those interested in security, this pathway involves learning how to identify and manage cybersecurity risks, protect IT systems, and safeguard sensitive data.

Skills Gained: Security analysis, threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance with security standards.

3. Level 4 Software Developer Apprenticeship
Overview: This apprenticeship could be ideal if the apprentice wishes to shift towards software development. It covers the creation, testing, and implementation of software solutions.

Skills Gained: Coding languages (Java, Python, etc.), software testing, version control, and agile methodologies.
