The Innovation & Growth (IG) Directorate has key roles to play in driving economic prosperity across the Square Mile, London and the wider UK. It does this by:

Maintaining London and the UK’s position as the world’s leading financial and professional services centre Helping to deliver a Climate Action Strategy for both the Corporation and the Square Mile Working to attract leisure tourism to the Square Mile

The work of the Directorate is fuelled by robust research, a marketing and communications strategy and a corporation wide business engagement strategy.

Main Duties:

To provide administrative support to the Innovation and Growth department as required, with the main support for the Director’s Office team Assist in organising meetings and ensuring timely submission of documents Review documents related to processes, budgets, dependencies, and pipeline Take minutes, chase actions, and provide updates Learn and shadow project management processes, systems, and methodologies Maintaining and improving our project lifecycle documentation and dashboards Answering enquiries from staff as to financial coding, budget availability and expenditure by utilising the City's computerised accounting system, CBIS

Training:

You will be supported to achieve the Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship. Theoretical training will be Biweekly with the support of the training provider. Practical training and support will be given in the workplace allowing you to embed your learning in the working environment. You will receive hours 6 per week to support with your apprenticeship studies. 



Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, we aim to offer a permanent role within the team if a position is available. Alternatively, we shall endeavour to secure an alternative position within the City of London Corporation.

The school was founded in Brixton in 1854 to provide an education for the orphaned children of the City of London before moving to the present site, Ashtead Park, in 1926. Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 9:15am - 5pm core hours. Flexibility will be required for business needs.
