Events Apprentice

Duties & Responsibilities, to include:

Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, including arranging furniture, laying tables, setting up bars and cloakrooms. Serving guests at events such as dinners, corporate receptions, weddings and meetings. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas during events. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety throughout all service activities. Assist with moving and preparing beverage stock for events. Coordinate the dispatch of dirty linens and uniforms to the laundry service. Responsible for the proper storage of clean linens and uniform deliveries. Monitor external event suppliers to ensure safe working environment and avoid damage to the House and its collection. Support the wider events team with administrative duties.

Skills & Attributes Required:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in hospitality or catering is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required. Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths & English (Grade A*-C (9-4)) A positive attitude and a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests. Due to this role dealing with alcohol unsupervised, applicants must be over 18 years old.

Training:

All training will be delivered within the workplace and via online training.

You will agree on a personal learning and development plan with our training provider, setting a timetable of learning activities in preparation for the End Point Assessment (EPA).

 



Training Outcome:

The apprentice could progress into supervisory roles.

Working Hours :
Full time Monday-Friday. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required. Any additional hours worked will be paid as overtime. Shifts TBC.
