Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship

Key aspects of the role include:

Working directly with pupils across all key stages in playwork-related activities Support the delivery of Ofsted registered wraparound care provision in schools, understanding the legislation that governs this type of work Deliver breakfast club, after-school clubs and lunchtime activities Facilitate a range of engaging play, crafts and sports activities for children Delivery of a range of interventions to support targeted pupil learning Supporting holiday camp programmes and activities (where necessary)

Training:

You will learn through working in a variety of different primary schools in the Lewisham area, and through online tution wiht your training provider.

Topics include:

Support child development through purposeful play Understand the way children learn Know the key child development milestones and the development
sequence Support children to physical, cognitive, language, social
and emotional skills Raise concerns with deviations from expected child development rates and sequences Support child development Understand your professional role and limits of your training
and expertise Safeguarding  Paediactric First Aid Functional skills in maths and English (where required)

Blended on/off-the-job training and location to be confirmed.
