Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Deputy Home Manager in Wisbech.
The Deputy Home Manager will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding care and support, helping young people lead happy and fulfilling lives.
Main Responsibilities
As a Deputy Home Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leadership: Leading your team and working with other professionals to provide therapeutic care and support tailored to each child.
Role Model: Acting as a positive role model for both colleagues and children, fostering an environment of recovery, growth, and lasting change.
Supervision and Mentoring: Supervising and mentoring staff, organizing work patterns, facilitating care-focused training, and accessing appropriate services to support childcare practices within the home.
Daily Management: Overseeing all day-to-day management matters, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
Requirements:
Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a Residential Children’s home
Qualifications: NVQ Level 4 in Management or Childcare, or willing to work towards it
Full UK Driving Licence

Duties:
Support the production of resource lists, based on estimates, using technical drawings to identify the requirements of the project
Assist with the development of tenders relevant to the construction project, ensuring records of tenders are kept and processed within the required timescales
Support the progress of construction projects, recommending and proposing revisions of programmes and assisting with the planning of schedules of work
Training:
As part of your apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a nationally recognised Construction Support Technician Level 3 standard via our training partner, Learning Skills Partnership
Your apprenticeship typically takes 27 months to complete and is fully supported through a combination of regular online lessons, e-learning materials, and access to their team of experts for 1-2-1 advice and support

Provide teaching support in small groups and, where necessary, be assigned to individual pupils in order to aid the teacher
Liaise with the teacher to understand the objectives of each session
Assist the teacher with observations and monitoring of the progress of children, both educationally and socially
Keep up-to-date written records for supporting pupils
Promote positive behaviour patterns, raise self-esteem, and improve independent work with children to assist their education and growth
Depending on school, there may be a specific focus on certain curriculum areas

Teaching Assistants may also undertake some or all of the following:
Work with individual pupils with special educational needs

Support the use of ICT in the curriculum
Invigilate exams and tests
