They also provide services to small business customers including shops, offices and homeworkers.
Got a manual drivers licence? Perfect! You’ll use it to reach customers across the region, delivering a friendly, knowledgeable service and linking them to what truly matters. You’ll also help expand our business by encouraging referrals – earn a £50 bonus for every new customer.
As an Apprentice Field Technician, you’ll have opportunities to work on and with the very latest technology, such as our superfast broadband, dazzling TV and entertainment services. By the end of the scheme, you will have learned how to master the ins and outs of installing and fixing our phone, TV and broadband products, including:
Running cables
Signal level adjustment
Making & changing connections
Configuring our advanced equiptment

Training:This apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to become skilled in your role, and combines on the job learning and academic study, where you’ll spend approximately 20% of your working hours completing learning with one of our training providers. Provide 1st line support to all Cross Keys Homes departments and offices
Assist in maintaining support ticket queues and allocating 2nd/3rd line support to the relevant team/individuals/partners. Assist with stock control for computer hardware, software, peripherals and consumables.
Carry out daily system checks to ensure continuity of service.Support the backup of company data.
Set up of standard laptop/tablet devices and mobile phones including email and business applications.
Build knowledge of the business systems and how they are used across Cross Keys Homes to improve the effectiveness of this service to the company.

Year 1:
Year 1 is full-time residential (classroom) training at one of our training provider facilities
As a result, you may be required to work away from home Monday to Friday each week during term time (costs will be supported by Amazon), combined with short periods working at one of our operations warehouses
This will give you a thorough and detailed insight into the work of the RME (engineering) team, as well as the basic skills necessary before working autonomously on our site equipment
Subsequent years:
Subsequent years will comprise day or block release training at a specialist college where you will study for an HNC in Engineering/Mechatronics, and on-the-job training in a Fulfilment/Sortation Centre or Delivery Station among our team of technicians and engineers
Training Outcome:
Not only will you receive invaluable learning, development and professional experience, but you will also gain a number of externally recognised qualifications and your bachelor’s degree
On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be eligible to apply for Automation Engineering roles within the RME team
Apprentices have the option to continue their academic studies in years 3 and 4 to HNC level
