A position for an Account Manager role based in Switzerland has become available with a leading global distributor of electronic components and technology solutions.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected international electronics organisation that partners with some of the world's leading manufacturers, delivering innovative semiconductor, connectivity, power, embedded and industrial technology solutions across multiple sectors and markets.
The Account Manager job, based in Switzerland, will form part of the EMEA Sales team and report directly to the Director of Sales / Regional Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving demand creation, identifying new business opportunities, growing key customer accounts, and delivering profitable revenue growth across a defined territory.
Ideal candidates for the Account Manager job will have experience in the following areas:
Creating and executing strategic account plans for key customers and target accounts.
Managing a territory sales plan and aligning opportunities with Product Management and R&D teams.
Developing a deep understanding of customer market share, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
Driving profitable revenue growth through effective customer engagement and opportunity management.
Generating design-in opportunities, particularly around New Product Introductions (NPIs), and securing market share gains.
Building strong customer relationships and increasing brand awareness to maximise cross-selling opportunities.
Gathering and communicating Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback to support product and business development initiatives.
Identifying and developing new business opportunities through a consultative, customer-needs-selling approach.
Managing and maintaining accurate CRM records, opportunity pipelines, bookings and forecasts.
Working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver technical and commercial solutions that meet customer requirements.
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent technical qualifications supported by relevant industry experience.
Provable experience in a B2B field sales role within a technical or electronics-related environment.
A strong understanding of industrial technologies, electronic components, and market dynamics.
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
The ability to identify customer needs and provide effective technical and commercial solutions.
Experience working within a team-oriented sales environment and collaborating across multiple functions.
Fluent local language skills together with business-level English.
Experience using CRM systems for pipeline management, forecasting and customer engagement.
