The role:• Assure compliance and effectiveness of applicable Cyber Security controls to meet NIST, DEFSTAN requirements.• Assist in the delivery of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials plus certification across applicable enterprise managed networks.• Support the delivery of intelligence led and risk-based compliance programme across the business.
Background required:• IT related Degree, ideally within Cyber Security.• Some form of IT background whether its IT compliance, Cyber, IT Support etc. • Understanding of frameworks such as NIST, ISO27001, DFARS or DEFSTAN.

As a Project Management (Cost Estimating) Degree Apprentice, you will be part of the Commercial function working closely with all areas of the business to collate and justify costs, create estimates for future work and manage change. You will work across a broad spectrum of tasks from facility business cases, to design studies, to whole boat pricing.By collaborating with other areas of the business to appreciate what they do, why they do it, and the associated costs, you will gain an excellent understanding of the Submarines business and how it operates. You will build your knowledge of the cost of materials, the cost of labour required for building and testing the product, and associated risks and opportunities. You will learn about profit rates and the effects of inflation on a long-term programme.

As a Data Analyst Apprentice you will experience, learn and develop key skills to help you manage complex projects.
You will help to ensure that the project you are assigned to stays on track by conducting a range of analytical studies. You will: maintain, update and report on key project data; identify any potential issues as the project progresses and help make effective decisions to assist the project in achieving its objectives. You will be using the latest analytical tools to assist the planning and decision making across the programmes and the Project Management and Controls Function.
Over the duration of the scheme you will gain exposure to different areas of your business unit, working on a variety of projects across different platforms and at different stages of the project lifecycle.
