As an apprentice Aeronautical Engineering Technician (Mechanical), you will:
Carry out hands-on technical mechanical maintenance activities on live aircraft.
Sid in equipment disassembly/ assembly and installations.
Enhance your fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
Over the course of our three-year programme, you will study towards your Level 3 Diploma (accredited by City & Guilds) whilst acquiring the knowledge, skills and competence to operate at the level of a Category A technician alongside our adept team of Mechanical Technicians who will offer guidance and mentorship.Training:
The training will be delivered by Fareham College at the CEMAST campus, an Ofsted Outstanding College.
Your training will be delivered Day Release, and you will attend CEMAST.

Apprentices will be placed in either our Assembly & Test or Aftermarket teams. There will be the opportunity to rotate across all areas for greater exposurer.
During the day-to-day you can expect the following:
Foundational knowledge and application of Health and Safety priniciples
Foundational knowledge and interpretation of engineering drawings
Hands on experience assembling fuel pump components in line with Standard Operating Procedures
Hands on experience repairing fuel pump components
Engagement with the full product lifecycle across site
Training:
The standard hours of work are 37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday - 7.30am - 4.15pm. Friday, 7.30am - 11.30am.
Your formal training will be provided through CEMAST, Fareham College one day per week (day TBC). The remainder of your training will be carried out in the workplace.
Training Outcome:It is anticipated that after you finish your apprenticeship, you will apply for a permanent role in the area you have been training in. As a big site however, there are many other avenues such as Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain that you may wish to further pursue. There may also be the opportunity to apply for a further Degree Apprenticeship in Engineering.Employer Description:The Titchfield site forms part of Eaton's Aerospace Industrial sector.
